Seattle veterinary services – delivered with courtesy & respect

Welcome to our Seattle Veterinary Hospital. Here you can expect that our full attention will be devoted to you and your pet’s unique needs. Our veterinary services will be provided with courtesy and respect. Our goal is to make every visit enjoyable and informative.

We are currently accepting new clients, giving priority to new puppies, kittens, and patients who have no established veterinary care provider in Seattle. Clients wishing to transfer their patient care from another Seattle veterinary hospital to Hawthorne Hills Veterinary Hospital will be considered on a capacity available basis. For more urgent appointment requests, we will do our best to see you within a few days. For more routine appointments we are scheduling new patients 1-3 weeks in advance.

You can request an appointment by clicking here:  New Client Request Appointment.

Please be sure that you are selecting ‘New Pet/New Client’ as the appointment type

Include as many details as you can in the ‘comments’ section:

    • Details about the purpose of your pet’s visit
    • Important details about your pet’s health & behavior
    • Tell us your preferred dates and/or time.

After receiving your appointment request, we will send you several documents via SignNow that need to be completed. The documents are automatically sent back to us when you are finished. You will need to monitor your email.

Here is a list of the documents we need from you to secure an appointment:

    1. New Client Information form
    2. New Patient Information form
    3. Your pet’s past medical records

If your pet’s records are from a Shelter or a Breeder, you can email those records to us at any time. If you give us the appropriate name(s) & contact information of the prior veterinary facilities where you pet has received care, our Client Care Team will help facilitate transfer of your pet’s past medical records.

We will be in contact to enter your pet’s appointment in our scheduler once we have received the 3 items above. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred day and time.  A few days before your pet’s visit, you will receive a ‘Pre-Visit History’ form which we ask you to complete and email back. This ensures that we are prepared to address your concerns and allows the doctors to focus on your pet during the visit.

Scheduled appointments help us ensure the attention you deserve.  If you have an appointment and are unable to keep it, we ask that you notify us 24 business-hours in advance to allow us to schedule other patients in need of attention. Please note, if you need to change or cancel your appointment with less than 24 business-hours notice, you may incur a fee.  Appointments with specialists may require pre-visit deposits.

Arriving a few minutes early to your appointment will help us to streamline the check-in process and allows you to take full advantage of your time with the doctor.

All clients entering our hospital must be masked. We ask that you stay home or remain curbside / in your car, if you are not feeling well as a courtesy to others.  Our exam rooms do not always accommodate children – please ask before your appointment.

From time to time, we will have “Relief Doctors” help us when someone is out of the office. Rest assured that these veterinarians have been carefully screened by us to ensure they provide the same high level of expert veterinary service you expect.

1

Arrival

When you arrive at our veterinary hospital for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by our customer service specialists, and we will usher you into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our appointments are normally right on time, though we do have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized.
2

Medical History

One of our highly skilled Veterinary Assistants will be your guide and partner throughout your visit starting with taking your pet’s health history and discussing some of your pet’s routines. Our veterinarian will then spend time learning about you and your pet.
3

Check Up

The veterinarian will examine your pet, answer your questions, formulate a healthcare plan, and arrange further diagnostics or treatment as necessary. Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians will collect samples, assist the veterinarian in treating routine issues and help prepare medications while you wait. If appropriate for your pet, or more convenient for you, we may admit your pet to the hospital, or arrange another time to address more involved health care needs.
4

Questions

During your visit we will provide you with educational information, and prepare estimates as necessary. At the end of the visit, the assistant or technician will review the doctor’s findings, go over any medications and home care instructions, and help you understand and plan for your pet’s future healthcare needs.
