We’ve had 13 employees go on to veterinary school; that does not happen by chance. While experienced veterinarians are desired, we welcome new(er) grads to apply. We believe in mentoring; you will get time to ease into our protocols, watch what we do before being left on your own, and you will get side-by-side DVM help if your surgery or dental skills need polishing. Larger practices may have more people, but we have the skillset, interest, and ability to adjust schedules to facilitate training and mentoring.

We are in a modern, well-equipped facility with electronic charting, PCs in all exam rooms, and automated scribing to facilitate efficiency. We utilize multiparameter monitoring, digital x-ray, digital dental, ECG, ultrasound, and more. As part of moving our practice to its current location we employed a watchful eye toward fear-free principles, sound control and ergonomics, including seamless cushioned rubberized flooring. This position is the face of our practice. You will interact with our clients in person and on the phone and, along with the doctors and other members of our team, provide exceptional customer service. Direct hands on animal assistance will be expected from time to time.

An outgoing sociable attitude and eagerness to work with clients and
their pets are key factors of a successful candidate. Phone and computer skills are essential along with a motivation to work hard. Previous direct customer service experience is required; a college degree is preferred. Must take pride in delivering a high standard of customer service and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of the clients and pets we see.

Applicants for the Veterinary Technician position must have a current license in the State of Washington and ideally at least one year work experience as a licensed technician. New graduates will be considered based on experience during technician schooling.

Outgoing individuals who are friendly, enjoy working with the public, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and the desire to work hard are key attributes of a successful candidate. Compassionate care and skill working with dogs and cats are essential. We utilize our technical staff in all aspects of day practice: outpatient visits, anesthesia, dental care, radiography, PennHIP screenings, surgery, laboratory testing, and client communications. Technicians are expected to maintain accurate medical records, demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, and be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
