My beloved English Chocolate Labrador Adam passed away peacefully in my arms on April 2 after a joyous, gentle, 15 years. He had a loveable way about him which continually reminded me of the simplicity and goodness in life. In his senior years, he spent 100 % of his time by my side, going wherever I went about the neighborhood and holding court for canine visitors in front of our home. He also enjoyed my granddaughter playing with him. His presence is still felt in every room and his scent is still on my clothes and his toys. He has taken a large chunk of my heart with him. I would like to remember him as a soul who was happy with the simplicity of life and found some goodness in everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed.
